Today I visited with Ms. Hathaway’s 3rd graders at Cottonwood School! First I presented a slide show about archaeology. The students learned about what archaeologists do and how archaeology has been used to discover much of the story of Fort Vancouver. Afterward, we looked at and discussed some artifacts from Fort Vancouver. The students had great ideas about what we can learn about people’s lives just by looking at the bits and pieces of things they left behind. Thank you Cottonwood School!
Great post! What an important topic for students to discuss–and it might just cause them to think about what they are leaving behind and how future people will think of their lives.
