Over the past several months I have been busy, busy, busy! I have interviewed several current and former residents who have provided rich details of how the Edgewood Park and Hudson’s Bay neighborhoods have changed and grown over many decades. These interview participants have also expressed incredibly insightful comments on how they feel about their neighborhoods, the ways that heritage and history are conveyed in their neighborhoods, and about archaeology and its role in their lives and in society. I appreciate these participants so much for taking time from their busy lives to help me with my project.
I have also had the unbelievable opportunity to excavate at several properties in the Edgewood Park and Hudson’s Bay neighborhoods. I am hoping to dig at a few more properties, so if you live in one of these neighborhoods and are interested in participating in this project, please contact me. As you can see from the picture of me excavating, the holes I have been digging are very small so the impact to the properties is tiny.
I have posted a few artifact pictures here, but you will have to attend my next public presentation to find out the excavation results!
Thank you for the update and pictures on your project. Being that I live too far to attend your next public meeting, will you be posting on your blog the results the “excavation results”? Joe M.
Yes, I will post results on the blog in the coming months. Thanks for your question!
